Moondrop introduces its first IEM featuring xMEMS driver technology, presenting the all-new Moondrop Concerto. Jointly created in partnership with DDHiFi, the Moondrop Concerto brings together an advanced xMEMS Solid-State All-Silicon Montara driver with a 13mm patented super linear planar magnetic driver unit. The xMEMS driver technology is costly, but it brings a superior treble frequency response. xMEMS drivers require a unique independent power amplifier chip with Bias to drive. Moondrop has featured the Montara xMEMS driver which has a larger and expansive vibration area. It produces a superior treble frequency band resulting in a silky smooth ultra-wide treble response. The planar driver complements the smooth and lively treble with its fast bass and accurate treble response. Moondrop Concerto brings a new experience for audiophiles with enhanced resolution and clarity across a wide frequency range.

With advancements in the HiFi audio field, xMEMS drivers are now becoming the talk of the town. They have garnered wide attention in the hobby especially due to their fast transient performance and accurate treble reproduction. Moondrop Concerto brings a dual-driver hybrid configuration featuring an xMEMS Solid-Stage All-Silicon Montara driver. Montara has a large vibration surface that produces crisp, defined treble in the output signal. xMEMS drivers require an independent power amplifier chip with Bias to drive properly, that’s why the Concerto has a built-in DAC USB Type-C DSP termination.
Patented 13mm Super Linear Planar Driver:-
In order to produce a strong and powerful sound presentation with a smoothly balanced three-frequency band, the Moondrop Concerto features a self-developed patented 13mm large-sized ultra linear planar magnetic driver. It features multiple innovative designs, bringing low distortion, wide frequency response range, etc. It achieves an ultra-high energy conversion efficiency that exceeds the traditional planar driver by over 10 times and that of a dynamic driver by about 4 times. The 13mm Planar driver helps the Concerto to produce a big and massive sound with ultra-low distortion and wide dynamic range.
Carefully Developed Acoustic Cavity Structure:-
Moondrop Concerto is developed with a carefully designed internal acoustic cavity structure. The large-sized planar magnetic driver and Montara are stacked together in a small cavity with a V-shaped opposed acoustic arrangement. This design features a sharp included angle formed by the opposed vibration areas of the high-range and low-range drivers. It ensures clean output with proper phase consistency of both drivers.
Built-in USB Active Driver:-
To fully utilize the xMEMS driver and deliver quality sound with both xMEMS and Planar drivers, the Concerto comes with a USB integrated DSP chipset. The chip is capable of processing high-resolution 32bit/384kHz PCM signals. Each xMEMS driver has an independent Aptos Power amplifier chipset as well.
